Task: Analysis of the existing architecture and step-by-step modernisation — routing, switching, segmentation and high availability were redesigned.
Outcome: Migration without service interruption. The result is a documented, highly available architecture with clear operational processes.

Datacenter and fabric design

Context: The existing datacenter infrastructure was reaching its limits in scaling, redundancy and operational standardisation.
Task: Design of a modern fabric infrastructure based on spine-leaf, VXLAN and EVPN — including high- and low-level design and a migration path from the existing environment.
Outcome: Implementation in planned maintenance windows, with no outage of productive services.

Context: Firewall, VPN and segmentation concepts had grown over several years — without consistent documentation and rule maintenance.
Task: Complete analysis of the security architecture including the firewall ruleset for unused and risky rules as well as segmentation gaps.
Outcome: Prioritised remediation plan, implemented together with the internal IT team — including a cleaned-up, documented ruleset.

Context: A communication solution with formal requirements and verification processes demanded complete technical specification.
Task: Responsibility for system specifications, network designs and interface descriptions following formal requirements processes (incl. IBM DOORS).

Enterprise environment, highly available

Incident and fault analysis in a highly available environment

Context: Recurring, hard-to-reproduce incidents impaired a highly available enterprise environment for weeks.
Task: Structured root cause analysis of log data, communication paths and redundancy mechanisms.
Outcome: Root cause unambiguously identified and permanently resolved. The final report also served as a hardening baseline.
